Medical Billing/Human Resources Assistant

Job Summary

This position will be a split position, supporting both Medical Billing and Human Resources. This position will work closely with the CEO and Billing Team and the Human Resources Business Partner on various administrative task that will assist operations in running efficiently.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Cash posting of patient payments
  • Assist with recruitment efforts - position posting, tracking applications, resume review, scheduling interviews, screenings, generating offers, hire communication
  • Primary oversight of the applicant tracking system
  • Assist with HRIS, Sharepoint and other employee platform maintenance 
  • Conduct reference & background checks for new hires
  • Conduct education and license checks as required
  • Support the new hire onboarding process. Preparation and communication
  • Assist with HR electronic organization
  • Assist with monitoring the HR email box and answering general employee inquiries
  • Monitor HR voicemail
  • Electronic employee records filing and maintenance
  • Assist with data reporting, presentation (preparation), verifications and other administrative task
  • Monitor monthly training to ensure timely completion by staff
  • Assists with other ad-hoc projects, as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong organization skills
  • High attention to detail and efficient time-management skills
  • Self-directed, able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to multitask
  • Proficient at Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Available 20 hours/week

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive tasks such as typing for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to clearly express and exchange ideas by means of spoken words to impart oral information to employees or others accurately or quickly, engaging in sometimes lengthy conversations or presentations.
  • Must be able to ascend and descend stairs daily. 
  • Must be able to seize, hold, grasp, turn or otherwise work with your hand or hands.
  • Must be able to perceive sound by ear to interpret oral information from employees or others accurately or quickly.
  • Work will be performed in an office environment with fluctuating temperatures.
